JoLynn is the heart behind 7 Stars Ranch and a dedicated cutting horse coach with a deep passion for helping people grow—both in and out of the saddle. With years of hands-on experience in the cutting horse world, her coaching style blends solid horsemanship, clear communication, and encouragement tailored to each rider’s goals and ability level.

At the core of JoLynn’s work is a genuine love for building community. She believes the best learning happens in a supportive, welcoming environment where riders feel confident, challenged, and connected both to their horses and to one another. Whether coaching individuals or leading group programs, JoLynn is committed to creating experiences that are educational, empowering, and fun.

Sharing the sport of cutting is more than a profession for JoLynn—it’s a calling. Through 7 Stars Ranch, she strives to make cutting accessible, inspiring, and rewarding for riders of all backgrounds, helping them develop skill, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the sport.

John Moder is an integrative performance coach and outdoor educator with a degree in Outdoor Education from The University of Minnesota Duluth. John is a proud combat veteran of the US Army National Guard. Through his work with 7 Stars Ranch, he supports veteran focused programming that uses horses, beginner riding fundamentals, and experiential learning to rebuild confidence, competence, and leadership through purposeful action.

Charlie serves as the Executive Director of 7 Stars Ranch and brings with him the discipline and dedication of a proud United States Marine Corps veteran. His journey with 7 Stars began as a participant, where he experienced firsthand the transformative impact of the organization’s mission. Driven by that experience, he went on to join the Board of Directors and later served as Treasurer before stepping into his current leadership role.

Charlie holds an A.B. in Economics from The University of Chicago and oversees the ranch’s financial sustainability and strategic growth. With his strong background in finance and deep personal connection to the organization’s values, Charlie is committed to ensuring that 7 Stars Ranch continues to thrive and empower others for years to come.

Originally from Momence, IL, Peter currently resides in Chicago, IL. He attended Virginia Military Institute, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Business.

Peter was commissioned into the US Army as infantry officer and served seven years on active duty. His service included a 2023 rotation to UAE in support of Operation of Enduring Freedom (Spartan Shield). He served with the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, CO; the 3d Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) at Joint Base Myer–Henderson Hall, VA; and the 11th Air Defense Artillery Regiment at Fort Bliss, TX. Peter is also a proud U.S. Army Ranger School graduate.

Peter is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Outside of work and school, he is an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoys spending time outdoors. Peter has been married to his beautiful wife for eight years, and togtogetherther they have two daughters.

Scott Isaacson is a northern Minnesota business owner and board leader who serves as Chair of the 7 Stars Ranch board. A University of Minnesota Finance graduate, he brings a track record of success across finance, insurance, transportation, and business consulting, with a focus on building durable operations and disciplined growth. Earlier in his career, Scott worked for companies like GE Capital and Merrill Corporation, where he built a reputation for accuracy, reliability, and deep business knowledge.

Scott is President of Lifts Transportation, a non-emergency medical transportation provider serving communities where access and reliability matter. He also owns Isaacson and Associates, an American Family Insurance agency, and leads 40 West Consulting Group, where he helps small and mid-sized business owners improve profitability, strengthen processes, and execute practical growth strategies.
At the center of Scott’s life are his kids and his family, who are his highest priority. He lives just outside of Duluth and loves spending time at his cabin on Rainy Lake near the Canadian border. That connection to the outdoors and northern Minnesota community drives how he leads, with a steady focus on responsibility, service, and doing things the right way.

At 7 Stars Ranch, Scott focuses on governance, sustainability, and mission alignment to help expand impact for youth, veterans, and first responders. Outside of work, he is at his best on the water or outdoors. You may find him boating, fishing, hunting or scuba diving. His favorite times are spent with family and friends, including his crazy, loving golden retriever, Frankie.
