7 Stars Ranch provides hands-on ranch and horsemanship programs that build confidence, resilience, and real-world skills through equine care and riding. We serve youth, veterans, first responders, and their families by creating a place to learn, grow, and find a strong sense of community.
About
Cutting the Path is a competition series that pairs youth cutters with veteran participants, fostering a powerful environment of intergenerational learning. Youth participants take the lead in teaching the sport of cutting, horsemanship fundamentals, and coaching their veteran partners, while veterans bring invaluable lessons in leadership, resilience, and performing under pressure. Together, each team progresses through a series of clinics at the ranch—from working the flag to cattle—culminating in a final performance at the Dave Scribner Memorial in Verndale.
